These are all perfect places to spot native fauna.  While it’s not unusual to see a kangaroo or birds getting around Moreton Bay, Kurwongbah in particular is well known for koala spotting.  Koala conservation in the region is a hot topic and there are unique opportunities to spot them in the wild – you’ll need some patience and but you’ll spot them if you look.  Sadly, there are nowhere near as many koalas as there once were, but this area is well-known for wildlife.
